Terrible

Terrible service.

I ordered, amongst other things, three tins of biscuits. Only two turned up, which were smashed.

I contacted them several times via reply email to the order, direct email to their customer service and also on their website and still have not had a reply.

Looks like I'll have to do a card charge back.

Will not use again!

Above and beyond.

Bought items from Ilkeston department and the clothes in my shop we untidy to say the least. The cashier after buying them folded them nicely for me it’s nice to see staff going that extra mile to help.

Don't work for them

I worked for these at their Redcar store and was treated like dirt by manager Robert Rushton and Debbie Mccarthy. I was bullied and was forced out. The staff are not very good, there is no room for social distancing at the store and. I wouldn't bother with them again.

Bought a £1 dvd and a 0.20p carry bag handed over a £5 note and only got £3.20 back, I'm not happy that I've been short changed by 0.60p.

Poundland stores vary greatly between…

Poundland stores vary greatly between excellent and terrible, and stock various greatly. Prices are often dearer than elsewhere so you need to look at what you are buying.Lakeside retail park excellent customer service and access, Lakeside shopping centre more condensed but still friendly staff. Gravesend St Georges centre lacks choice but helpful, whilst Gravesend Imperial Way have some very aggressive and very rude staff and other very helpful. Dartford never has enough if any non self scan tills open, Strood is often hard to get around , whilst Gillingham store near Ice rink is hard to park. Crayford store is very condensed so hard to get wheelchair around, and parking hard.

I will never again support Poundland!

Much to my absolute disbelief I was falsely accused of stealing in Poundland by the manager Usman when I was going about my shopping. Another customer in the shop heard Usman accusing me of stealing and informed me that this manager is known for bullying staff and customers. The customer [witness] gave me her contact details as she too was happy to voice her concern about this manager Usman. The customer relations advisor came back to me with the following: I can assure you a full investigation has been carried out by our Area Manager and we have been advised that the colleague at no point accused you of stealing, he did ask if you would like to use a basket, I am sure he meant no offence.Poundland's response is unacceptable as the evidence is clear on the CCTV that I was falsely accused and Poundland did not reach out to the customer who was a witness of the incident. Poundland should be ashamed of themselves for employing a bullying manager that marginalises customers. I will never again support Poundland!

Rhyl store.

Went into Pounland in Rhyl today,They have completely redesigned the interior in an attempt to make it a little more covid friendly. They failed spectacularly. The store is dirty and unorganised, which to be fair is because of the ongoing alterations. That said, if you don't buy anything (which i did not ) the only way out is past the one queue of people in a slalom course which is about 6ft wide.Making social distancing an absolute joke. When i had excused myself past all these people throwing caution to the wind i got to the only exit door. A mentioned in as nice a way as possible to a store employee who was manning the door it would be better if there was an aisle for people to leave the store if not purchasing anything. His answer to me was "we expect people to buy things when they come here", the bad attitude in his tone made me to decide not to retaliate. Has he never been in a store and not bought anything ? I was in a mobility scooter and found it very difficult to weave my way round the obstacles in the store and on exit. Incidently i have visited many poundland stores and never encountered this bad attitude and total disdain for customers.

The best shop ever!

HOLYHEAD! The best shop ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has everything you need in one place and even the tools are great. Lovely manager and service as always! I brought my girlfriend a new dustpan and brush last week and she even said it was top quality while she cleaned up the messy hallways. I liked the noise the bristles made as they swept ever so abruptly over the wooden flooring. Also the hallway created a reverb so it sounded nicer :) Il never try wrapping a dustpan up again in birthday paper :/ Bike stuff is a nice quality for a pound and does the job. I always give items a chance and the electronics always work for me. Bluetooth headphones are a must for a pound and do well when driving. Keep it up guys, stay safe and take care , many thanks for your service. Merry Crimbus and a Happy new year.

Always a good experience for me

I use the Poundland in Bognor Regis on a weekly basis and always find the majority of staff to be polite and friendly. The store has a great variety of items for good prices. I buy reading glasses in there for a pound that are way more comfortable than the ones I have bought in the opticians! Great for kitchen things too. For years I was a bit snobby about this shop but once I ventured in I was addicted. I had an issue with some face masks bought there and contacted customer services online to warn them of the problem (not to complain or request a refund) and Zoe there could not have been more helpful - a delight to deal with. My experiences have always been good with this company but everyone has their own story.
